UPMC Health Plan is hiring a full-time Sr. EAP Consultant to join the Life Solutions team. This role will work in a hybrid schedule with some of the time spent working remotely and occasional time in the office in downtown Pittsburgh as needed. Occasional travel may be required as well. Preference will be given to local candidates.
The Sr. EAP Consultant will develop, implement, manage and evaluate initiatives and educational materials for all UPMCHP and Work Partners relevant populations. Responsibilities will include strategic planning, senior-level presentations, client meetings with upper management, project planning and management, account management, coordination with many internal departments and external facilities, evaluating and reporting. Consultative support to C-suite level staff. Design and develop relevant content supporting the EAP product. Creation of curriculum development for training purposes. Sr. EAP Consultant must support the Sr. Director of Life Solutions EAP and be recognized in a lead role by other staff and departments within Work Partners and the Health Plan. This position may manage relevant support staff.

Responsibilities:
- Manage various programs, campaigns, and events related to area of program expertise. Design and develop content supporting the client needs for EAP. Design and develop training curriculums for the EAP clients.
- Become certified as a Mental Health First Aid trainer.
- Provide consultative and strategic support to clients and their C-suite level staff. Work with various internal and external customers to provide relevant deliverables. This may include developing and negotiating contracts as needed with UPMCHP legal department.
- Meet project plan deadlines (these deadlines may require occasional extended daily work hours as necessary). Implement programs for maximum results and member satisfaction. Develops key metrics and KPIs to measure overall performance. Communicate activities, statuses, accomplishments.
- Summarize and interpret program results.
- Coordinate related activities of other UPMCHP and Work Partners departments as necessary to ensure that all aspects of each program are successful and that all impacted departments are aware of progress/updates.
- Design and develop new project plans for new programs/events as needed, including all policies and procedures, program outlines, contracts as needed with participating facilities, and all marketing materials.
- As relevant, manage, in part or in full, relevant staff to aid in project implementation. Mentor and/or directly supervise junior program managers.
- Interface with peers to develop a strong working relationship between all groups.
- Seek opportunity to provide assistance and wherever possible.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in health administration or related health field preferred; or Bachelors degree with demonstrated successful experience in clinical program administration, client training and/or other health related discipline.
- A minimum of seven years of applicable experience in clinical/client training and/or health care delivery is required. Preference will be given to those with previous EAP/behavioral health/mental health experience or training experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; Management experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Financial analytic skills preferred.
- 3 years in health care insurance and/or related field/industry preferred.
- Candidate must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to interact and negotiate with all facets of the EAP and wellness industry. Excellent planning, documentation, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are also required. Candidate must demonstrate leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to assess re-engineering processes to positively impact productivity in terms of timeliness and accuracy.
- Experience presenting information to C-level executive management teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, including developing planning tools, oversight mechanisms and communication tools. Self-starter and independent thinker, who can manage his or her own daily work, operate smoothly under pressure, balance competing priorities and delivery effectively.
- Ability to work with and take direction from Senior Management.
- Desire to continue upward progression within organization.
