Sr. Engineer, DevOps

Overview

Foot Locker is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who will serve as part of a talented team of Network engineers who collectively demonstrate excellent technical competency, reliability in delivering mission critical infrastructure, and who continually ensure the highest levels of availability, optimization, and customer service. Qualified DevOps Network Engineer applicants will have a strong background in IT specifically in large enterprise network infrastructure areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline network configuration, deployment, and management.
• Design and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for network configurations and software updates to ensure efficient delivery and rollback capabilities.
• Use configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) to manage and version control network devices and platforms.
• Continuously improve and develop global standards for enterprise and store networks.
• Respond to network-related incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruption.
• Define, publish, and update network configuration standards.
• Ensure network configurations comply with security policies and standards, including managing firewall rules, VPNs, and access controls.
• Integrate and manage hybrid or cloud network environments, optimizing connectivity between on-premises and cloud services.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network automation processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides to support knowledge sharing.Mentor and develop other engineers located in different geographic regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent DevOps experience
• Minimum 5 years of (SDN) experience in a large enterprise environment
• Minimum 5 years of Network experience in a large enterprise environment
• Minimum 3 years of QoS policy design and management
• Minimum 5 years of complex diagnostic and problem-solving experience with traditional and cloud infrastructures
• Minimum 5 years of JIRA work management
• Proficient with next generation networking tools, including Cisco DNA, ISE, scripting, automation and monitoring tools.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
• Wireless (WiFi) knowledge a plus
• Cisco DevOps and/or equivalent certification preferred
• Microsoft Azure SDN certifications preferred.
• Progressive experience in IT technologies with emphasis on Network Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of enterprise network infrastructure experience, with a focus on delivering complete infrastructure solutions from small branch offices to large global corporate locations to global cloud solutions.
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90,000 - $135,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
