The Sr. DevEx Engineer will be responsible for architecture and engineering support of the internal developer platform. You will also work with product architects to build tools and process to facilitate self-service with least-privilege solutions aimed at improving security, developer productivity, engineering excellence, and minimizing operations toil. The annual base salary range is $90,000 -$130,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Responsibilities
- Create and utilize automation and orchestration to support golden paths to production.
- Understand, promote, and employ architectural methodologies such as Pace Layering, Microservices Architecture, 12-Factor App, etc.
- Be a hands-on builder, prototyping and incubating solutions towards technical review, demonstration, and adoption
- Build customer relationships and communicate development and engineering best practices
- Interface with software vendors for support as well as application and infrastructure teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field
- Strong Communications skills
- Thorough understanding of the emerging cloud environments (public and private)
- Ability to work across teams/time-zones, supporting and managing large infrastructure & cross-organizational efforts
- Demonstrated ability to conceive and deliver a broad range of technological solutions, from start up to maintenance, to solve complex global application problems
- Minimum 3 years' hands on Python or GoLang, Java, Node, and .Net experience
- Experience using Docker or similar container build and orchestration.
- Experience contributing to or using open-source projects.
- Hands on experience using and configuring build pipelines with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar.
- Hands on event-driven microservices backed by strong APIs.
