Overview
Lead a multi-disciplinary team to develop and manufacture medical device packaging systems. Project scope may include new and next generation packaging systems and packaging system process improvements. Seeking an individual who can work independently on complex tasks including product and process prototyping, testing, data analysis, and report writing while simultaneously leading the design team through Design Control. Packaging systems include all facets from package touching product through individual and bulk shipping.

Responsibilities
- Design and improve medical device packaging systems.
- Implement packaging technology that meets healthcare requirements.
- Successfully tackles complex engineering tasks related to design and process development.
- Uses computer-assisted engineering software to perform engineering tasks related to prototype design, test method development, and production aids.
- Sources, evaluates, and coordinates the procurement of materials and parts from suppliers.
- Sources and installs new equipment including IQ/OQ/PQ's.
- Develops and executes design and process validation protocols/reports.
- Reviews test data utilizing statistical analysis and generates reports summarizing product and process performance.
- Leads in project planning including developing timelines, managing resources, working within budget and verifying task execution.
- Analyzes, evaluates, and recommends cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Treats others with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect at all times.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year college or university
- 5 to 7 years' experience of packaging design in Medical Devices
- Understand and use statistical analysis/software and CAD design
- SolidWorks, Minitab, Project Management Software, Microsoft Office
- Fluent in written and spoken English
