AWS Compliance & Security Assurance is seeking a Sr. Software Development Manager to build automation and analytics that helps identify and respond to risk and compliance issues across AWS. Each day, hundreds of thousands of developers make billions of transactions worldwide on our cloud. They harness the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enable innovative applications, websites, and businesses. The AWS Compliance and Security Assurance team owns security risk and compliance for all of these services offered by AWS, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and more than 150 others. We works with builders across AWS to ensure that AWS products are secure and comply with regulatory an customer expectations globally.

Our team is looking for a Senior Software Development manager to help build out a diverse engineering team focused on identifying opportunities to scale compliance across the business, surface and respond to compliance issues in an automated way and partner with other engineering teams across the company to identify ways to deliver compliance and security assurance in a more streamlined and efficient way.

This is a role that combines robust software development of scalable systems, security engineering, and advanced risk analysis. We help AWS developers build security and compliance into their systems, and we help internal teams and customers gain confidence in our controls. Our tools target all types of AWS systems in a range of domains including web services, IoT, robotics, hypervisors, and cryptography. Our systems and processes must be scalable to support a large and growing developer population that is innovating quickly.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of engineering experience

- 5+ years of engineering team management experience

- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience

- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience partnering with product and program management teams

- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

- 5+ years of experience in security, automated reasoning and/or compliance engineering.
