What you'll do
- Lead inspections and surveys, including energy audits, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, and environmental compliance.
- Supervise technical operations, including system air balancing reports, boiler, chiller, and cooling tower performance testing.
- Develop and improve preventive maintenance and engineering procedures, hazardous materials plans, and indoor air quality programs.
- Ensure compliance with life safety programs, domestic water quality control, and environmental safety standards.
- Craft and manage construction projects, including HVAC system comparisons and start-up monitoring.
- Assist with due diligence and evaluations for potential acquisitions or development projects.
- Recommend building automation, energy management, and temperature control systems.
- Conduct value-engineering studies and evaluate contractor qualifications.
- Provide formal supervision, mentor team members, and model what we value.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS or equivalent experience) and a minimum of seven years' experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of applicable practices, laws, and environmental regulations.
- Preferred certifications: Local Operating Engineer's License, Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA), Real Property Administrator (RPA).
- Proficient with EMS programming, fire alarm systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Universal CFC certification required.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
- In-depth financial knowledge with experience in budget forecasting and analysis.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to deliver compelling pitches.
- Confirmed understanding of asset management, property management, leasing, and construction.
