This position plays a critical role in providing financial reporting, forecasts, and analysis for the Defense & Space Customer Business Team. Position involves frequent interface and coordination within the Aerospace Finance and with non-finance functions. Position location is in Phoenix Arizona or Clearwater Florida area.
This position reports to the DSPC Finance Director and is a business partner with the DSPC CBT leadership team. This role will be responsible for analyzing month end results, month end reporting (walks and variance commentary) as well as Short Range Outlook (SRO) forecasts. Additional focus will be on managing Past Due AR balances and support of unbilled / deferred initiatives. This role will also be involved in developing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly EAC (Estimate-At-Completion) accounting process. This role will be interacting with not only the internal D&S finance team, but also controllership, customer business team, and program management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial support for the Space Customer Business Team
Perform variance analysis interpreting CBT results against monthly, quarterly and yearly plan/forecast
Involved in the development of the AOP and formal financial forecasts
Develop and analyze Accounts Receivable reporting, as well as drive favorable cash impacts by supporting the C2C team
Assist in Unbilled Receivables MOS
Partner in organizing quarterly EAC presentations to leadership and report out financial impacts
Process improvement for existing reporting mechanisms
Perform ad-hoc analysis based upon changing business needs
Critical partner to surrounding functions

YOU MUST HAVE
3+ years of progressive finance and/or accounting experience
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prepare and present complex data in a simple, understandable manner
Self-starter who is adept to prioritizing work and coordinating tasks simultaneously
