OrthAlign, Inc., a Smart Technologies, growing medical device company, has an immediate opening for a Sr. Financial Analyst responsible for budgeting and forecasting, cross-functional partnering with business teams to provide financial analysis and recommendations, and producing financial reporting to provide data, insight and recommendations for continued revenue growth and profitability. The Sr. Financial Analyst works with various types of data, including financial statements, cost analysis, and industry research.

You will:
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date budget/forecast model, including revenue, COGs and expenses.
- Partner with functional leadership to identify budget assumptions, headcount and spend.
- Forecast balance sheet and cash requirements.
- Cross-functional - build relationships with key cross functional leaders; monitor and control costs to ensure departments stay within budget, and help identifying areas where cost savings can be achieved.
- Sales - partner with Sales leadership to analyze and identify opportunities to improve revenue growth and execution. Responsible for maintaining and analysis of field sales compensation programs. Provide recommendations to ensure motivated sales teams tied to company objectives.
- Operations - partner with Operations team to identify trends and analyze spending, standard costs, variances, inventory levels, etc. Evaluate the costs of materials, labor, and overhead to determine the total cost of production. Develop and maintain standard costing systems to streamline cost management processes.
- Marketing - partner with Marketing team to identify trends and analyze spending as well as provide input and review into the Market/Revenue Model.
- Monthly financial reporting and analysis of results.
- Collaborate with management to drive reporting and operating rhythm through development of Dashboards, KPIs, standardization of reporting and simplification of current processes.
- Finance liaison to ensure accurate and timely sales reporting.
- Provide analysis and recommendations regarding cost structure and trends.
- Research industry-specific financial benchmarks and provide actionable reporting.
You need:
- Your BS/BA degree, 4+ years of experience, or without degree and 6+ years, in progressive accounting/financial analyst role with manufacturing/distribution experience.
- Experience in a financial analyst role, preferably within the medical device industry or manufacturing
- Proven expertise in systems, including the MS Office Suite with advanced Excel (PowerPivot/Queries, complex formulas, Macros, VBA), ERP systems, business intelligence tools (Power BI, SQL), and reporting systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently and effectively build relationships and communicate with all levels of an organization
- Ability to work as a collaborative team member as well as independently
- Strict attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and analytical skills
- Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills
- To apply sound judgment when making decisions and communicating with peers and management
- To possess intellectual curiosity with strong technical skills and the ability to analyze financial data to guide business decisions within a medical device manufacturing environment.
