- Capital Management: Support the deployment of capital in the business through:
- Capital Major Expenditure (CME) budgeting and reporting,
- Internal control compliance monitoring for Capital expenditures and disposals
- Preparing monthly transactions to account for the flow and valuation of Fixed Assets
- Assisting in the monthly reconciliation of Fixed Asset GL accounts
- Supporting the Insurance department by managing movement of vehicles for Insurance and Licensing purposes
- Inventory Management: Ensure accurate reporting of inventory through:
- Perform various accounting functions to ensure accurate reporting of Inventory valuations in accordance with accounting policies and principles including monthly valuation adjustments and assisting in annual physical inventory counts at various locations.
- Operations Management: support key business initiatives and business performance reporting through:
- Ensure accurate reporting of weekly placed bar and prepare weekly placing reports for branch and senior management
- Prepare monthly KPI reporting and analysis to support business performance reviews (BPR's)
- Assist in the rolling monthly forecast process and performing analysis of actual results vs. forecast
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate reporting of financial results through:
- Assist Financial Reporting through performing month-end adjustments to ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost allocations
- Prepare calculation of monthly fabrication bonuses
- Preparation of quarterly and year-end schedules
- Perform monthly state tax allocations
- Perform additional duties as required by management
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Recent completion of the CPA designation or in pursuit of the CPA designation.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Analytical skills are considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Excellent time management skills to meet various internal and external deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using Microsoft Suite products, including Outlook, Teams and Word.
