Note: This is a hybrid position, employees are required to be in office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This individual contributor is responsible to become a multi-skilled, independent, and team-oriented analyst by acquiring the skills necessary to be relied upon to cover various Gas Acquisition Analyst positions. This individual must make decisions that affect DPL's customers, Gas Cost Rate, and the financial wellbeing of the corporation.
Note: Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

JOB SCOPE
Sr. Gas Supply and Transportation Analyst individuals are expected to acquire skills and knowledge in following areas: the non-discretionary hedge plan, daily tracking, monthly reporting, quarterly meetings and filings with the Delaware Public Service Commission and Public Advocate. Gas Cost Rate planning, analyzing, reporting, and providing answers to the public service commission and public advocate to get a favorable result in the annual GCR filing.
Renewable portfolio standard estimating, contract acquisition, contract coordination, reporting, and annual DE RPS filing. Sr. Gas Supply and Transportation Analyst must learn and acquiring skills necessary to act in a back-up role for the Principal Gas Acquisition Analyst and or back-up for the Sr. Energy Acquisition Analyst in charge of daily and monthly scheduling. A Sr. Analyst is expected to recognize the impact of decisions on other parts of the organization, e.g., Customer & Marketing Services, Electric Supply & Transmission, and Finance to ensure integration of activities for the Company. The Sr. Analyst also represents the Company's position when interfacing with external parties, e.g., pipelines, marketers, and regulatory agencies. A Sr. Analyst is expected to maintain an ongoing awareness of emerging interstate pipeline issues/projects on systems providing service to DPL.

Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Analyze and execute DPL's non-discretionary gas hedge plan, monthly hedge plan reporting, quarterly meetings and filings with the Public Service Commission and Public advocate.
- Lead the annual Gas Cost Rate (GCR) filing by modeling the monthly gas send out requirements, gas supply estimates, forward market prices, contract demand and commodity expense, storage injection and withdraw schedules, gas hedges, reserve margin and long and short-term contract renewal schedule.
- Analyze the GCR monthly to determine market impact, rate changes and long or short-term price movements that will affect customers and the annual over or under recovery.
- Support in monthly acquisition of renewable energy credits to meet PHI's annual Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) compliance filings.
- Analyze and track monthly renewable energy contracts and update monthly reporting for RPS discussions and reporting to accounting as needed.
- Conduct annual RPS forecast reporting and coordinate the annual DPL DE RPS compliance filing.
- Support teammates in back-up roles to coordinate and execute a plan for short- and long-term supply acquisition and transportation activities.
- Support business planning, budgeting, variance analysis, audit compliance, and reporting requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 4-7 years of relevant experience, OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 6-9 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently or on a team managing projects with minimal supervision.
- PC skills: Knowledge of spreadsheets; Excel; Word; etc.
- 4-7 years job related experience.
- Excellent demonstrated skills in verbal and written communications.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to handle multiple projects.
- Knowledge of gas tariffs.
- Knowledge of pipeline and storage operations.
