POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Graphic Designer for CKE plays a pivotal role in shaping the brand's visual identity and enhancing customer engagement through innovative merchandising solutions. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create compelling marketing materials, including packaging, print, digital, and in-store graphics that align with the brand's strategic goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

May perform any or all of the following duties:
Work collaboratively with brand marketing, culinary, field and operations teams to deliver cohesive visual communications and design by executing integrated creative campaigns across multiple brand touch points with a focus on restaurant merchandising.
Lead design projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to brand guidelines and understanding the application of brand standards, typography, color, and overall design principles.
Understanding the importance of brand messaging and visual message hierarchy in design.
Understand merchandising and design within a retail space, ensuring consistency in visual language across multiple elements and configurations.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative team environment. Provide oversite on design with external agencies and vendor partners.
Ability to work collaboratively, ideate, and take direction from marketing leadership.
Plan and direct photo shoots.
Execute ideas and assist team with various design projects to support the marketing needs including Retail Signage, Menu, Packaging, FSIs, Digital Ads, Seasonal Campaigns and other marketing communications.
Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining design excellence.
Manage design revisions and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in versioning and production files.
Support the creative team in establishing and maintaining the creative asset repository and continually refreshing brand standards.
Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Lead and collaborate with external print, production, and digital menu vendors to ensure accuracy and adherence to promotional production schedules.
Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.
Stay updated on design trends, consumer preferences, and industry innovations to inform design strategies.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES
BA/BS Degree in graphic design, advertising or equivalent.
Must possess seven (7) or more years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge in a related industry.
Thorough knowledge of print process and production.
Fully proficient in Adobe Creative (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and final preparation for print.
Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills; communicates effectively with various contacts (internal and external)
Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results
Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information
