As the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead the management and enhancement of our organization's IT infrastructure. As a senior member of a team of dedicated IT professionals, you will play an important role in developing the strategy, and implementation of cutting-edge technologies to drive the growth and efficiency of our global manufacturing enterprise while maintain high availability and service levels of operational support.


Essential Functions

  • Strategic Planning:Assist with the development and execution of a forward-thinking IT infrastructure strategy to align with business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Infrastructure Roadmap:Responsible for delivering and managing critical projects within the infrastructure and operations strategic roadmap.
  • Operational Support:Manage Tier 1-3 support operations, ensuring timely issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain infrastructure for high availability and optimal performance.
  • Enhance operational processes and ensure technology alignment with organizational needs.
  • Responsible for monthly server and desktop patching and updates.
  • Infrastructure Optimization:Continuously evaluate and improve the IT infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Technology Integration:Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their potential to enhance our IT infrastructure.
  • Security and Compliance:Ensure our IT infrastructure complies with all security and regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration:Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments to ensure IT solutions meet the needs of the business.
  • Vendor Management:Collaborate with technology vendors and service providers to evaluate, source, collaborate, and manage IT solutions.
  • Disaster Recovery\Business Continuity Planning:Develop, test and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Project Delivery:Manage key project deliverables aligned with Infrastructure roadmap and help drive them to successful completion and delivering business value.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure management.
  • Profound knowledge of infrastructure technologies, cloud services, network architecture, and virtualization. Technologies include Microsoft Server, Active Directory, VMWare, Veeam, Cisco Meraki, Pure Storage, Linux, Microsoft SQL, O365 and Microsoft Azure.
  • Outstanding project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or ITIL are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure in the manufacturing sector is a plus.


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in information technology or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure design, support and maintenance experience.
