Job Title : Sr. Lead Software Engineer
Location : Philadelphia, PA
Position Type : Contract
Rate : $/hr. On W2 (No C2C)
US Citizen, Green Card and GC EAD preferred.

Job Description:

• 8+ years of experience working in a software engineering discipline with 5+ years as a lead developer.
• Bachelor's degree (BS) in Computer Science/Engineering or any other top tier IT discipline.
• Solid experience working with web services (REST, SOAP/WSDL & XML/XSLT) and server side development is needed.
• Solid working knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP , HTTP/S, SNMP & SSH.
• Demonstrable Experience with Relational Databases(Oracle), LDAP/X.500, JDBC, XMPP & AMQP is needed.
• J2EE development experience in a cloud environment or an enterprise setting is a strong plus.
• Experience with enterprise messaging systems and designing asynchronous applications using technologies such as JMS, AMQP/RabbitMQ or XMPP is required.
• Experience working with open source software such as Spring, Hibernate, Hadoop, Apache Commons, Tomcat, and MySQL is needed.
• Strong Object Oriented Analysis and Design/UML/AOP skills. Must have good understanding of database design/ERDs.
• Prior experience with Virtualization & RackSpace Cloud Infrastructure is needed.
• Comfortable with Linux shell scripting as well as a few scripting languages such as Perl, Python & Ruby.
• Good understanding of leveraging Big Data technologies is a plus.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle in Agile environment
• Must be a good team player with excellent communication skills, presentation skills and attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership of tasks.
• Knowledge of Video Controller Systems and experience in the cable/telecom sector is a strong plus.
