Job Summary
The Sr Licensed Vocational Nurse, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, guided by the procedures of the Ambulatory Services and the Ambulatory Services Quality Nursing Division, and in collaboration with the physician staff, had the clinical responsibility for developing and maintaining a high standard of patient care, under the Urology Procedure Center and Urology Faculty Practice. S/he participates in the planning for the provision of patient care. S/he provides patient health education teaching for Urology patients across the lifespan, catheter teaching and management skills and clinical support. S/he collaborates with the Nurse Manager, Administrative Director, and Medical Director to develop monitor and maintain systems pertaining to Urology patients. S/he is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, and for daily operations. All components of nursing care will be individualized to meet he patient's physiological and psychosocial developmental level and needs. S/he consistently projects a professional and courteous demeanor. The Licensed Vocational Nurse consistently projects a professional and courteous demeanor and shall comply with the Medical Center House and Telephone Standards.
The Sr Licensed Vocational Nurse will be primarily located at Bayfront, however, must have flexibility to cover multiple UCSF Medical Center sites.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $46.16 - $57.83 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
- Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
- Three years LVN experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic experience
- One to three years related experience in urology clinic setting and procedures (foley catheter insertion, medication refills, medication and equipment prior authorizations, disability applications)
License/Certification
- Active Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
