Title: Senior Mammography Technologist
Location: San Francisco, CA
Job Type: Full Time/Permanent
Shifts/Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
Bonus: $10k sign on bonus

Summary:
The Mammography Technologist plays a vital role in performing high-quality imaging procedures and adapting to evolving Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and PACS systems. The role includes participation in performance improvement activities, maintenance of quality control records, and routine equipment testing and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proficiently adapts to and utilizes RIS and PACS systems.
  • Engages in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains accurate quality control records and ensures proper equipment testing and maintenance.
  • Trains and supports students and new hires when required.
  • Flexible to assist at various medical center locations and rotate shifts as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a formal radiology technology training program accredited by an AMA-approved school.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including rotating shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum of 3 years of mammography experience for the Senior Technologist level and more than 5 years for the Principal Technologist level.
  • ARRT Mammography Certification.
  • CRT Radiology License.
  • CRT Mammography License.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
  • Proof of at least 40 documented hours of mammography-specific training (if certified after April 27, 1999).
  • Documentation of at least 200 mammography exams performed within the last 24 months (rolling calendar).
  • Certificates of at least 15 CEUs in the last 36-month period, including a minimum of 6 CEUs in each mammography modality used.
  • Proof of MQSA-approved 3D Tomosynthesis training.

Skills and Certifications:
  • ARRT Mammography Certification.
  • CRT Radiology License.
  • CRT Mammography License.
  • BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology technology training program.
  • Demonstrated compliance with CEU, training, and examination requirements per MQSA standards.
