Position summary

The Sr. Manager of Continuous Improvement is a leadership role within the Ion Chromatography and Sample Preparation business unit. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives at the Sunnyvale consumables manufacturing site and supporting global operations. The role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency through Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain management concepts, and advanced data analytics. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing manufacturing business by implementing effective continuous improvement strategies and bringing to bear brand-new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement plans to improve operational efficiency
  • Lead the PPI (Practical Process Improvement) Business System, focusing on directing performance indicators, the PPI Road Map, and efficiency to consistently improve outcomes.
  • Assist the VP in aligning strategies and managing projects, leading workshops to prioritize tasks, solving problems, and engaging in strategic conversations with senior leaders and key collaborators.
  • Promote a culture of Compliance and Customer First within the operations team, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal quality standards, and customer expectations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to document processes, standard work procedures, and implement technologies to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze operational and supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, driving initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage the financial performance of continuous improvement projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with essential partners to improve collaboration and support for central initiatives, ensuring ongoing improvements in critical metrics.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment, with a consistent track record of driving operational improvements.
  • Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with data analytics, AI, and automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience in leading and implementing change initiatives in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, including visits to operational sites and attendance at corporate functional meetings.
  • Excellent communication, time management, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and develop a culture of continuous improvement.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $141,800.00-$212,000.00.
