American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment issuer and partner for businesses, supporting small business owners and companies with products and services to help them run and grow their businesses. This position sits within the Marketing Strategy & Content team in the B2B Marketing organization.
We're seeking a conceptual, detail-oriented Copywriter to join our embedded creative team. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking and brand-savvy execution, ideal for someone who thrives on consistency but brings a nimble, consultative approach to collaboration.
Responsibilities will include delivering high-quality, on-brand copy that brings clarity to complex financial services topics. You'll work closely with designers, strategists, marketers, and product teams to develop compelling copy across a variety of channels-from digital campaigns and brand activations to headlines, taglines, and calls to action.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Developing Clear and Compliant Messaging - Crafting marketing copy that adheres to financial regulations while maintaining clarity and engagement for internal and external audiences.
Creating Content for Various Channels - Writing for emails, presentations, internal newsletters, websites, social media, and customer communications tailored to different audiences.
Translating Complex Financial Concepts - Simplifying industry jargon and technical financial information into accessible, engaging language for employees, clients, and stakeholders.
Ensuring Brand Voice and Consistency - Upholding the company's tone, messaging guidelines, and brand standards across all written materials.
Collaborating with Designers and Stakeholders - Working closely with designers, marketing managers, and subject matter experts to develop cohesive campaigns and ensure accuracy in messaging.
Minimum Qualifications:
4-6 years of copywriting inside an agency or internal creative department
Exceptional ability to present concept and ideas and accept feedback and critique
Ability to think through marketing insights to help influence language choices
Working knowledge of A/B testing and the role of language to best test in a variety of marketing channels
Ability to partner with Designers and Marketing Stakeholders in collaborative concepting
Qualifications
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
