Daikin Applied is seeking a talented Sr Manager - Digital Strategy. As the Senior Manager of Digital Strategy for Daikin Applied America's Digital & IT's team, you will play a critical role in shaping our company's Digital Transformation and the future of Digital & IT at DAA. You will be responsible for developing Digital & IT strategy, integrated planning, leading executive and cross-functional engagement, managing the office of the CDIO, and aligning with the organization's overall strategic goals. Location: Plymouth, MN - Hybrid

What you will do:
  • Digital & IT Strategy: Support development of yearly strategic plan and 5-year strategic plans; develop Digital & IT transformation strategy
  • Integrated Planning: Co-create integrated multi-year roadmap, functional workplans, KPIs, and governance model
  • Office of the CDIO: Define CDIO engagement roadmap, determine engagement needs, and design executive leadership communication and reports
  • Digital Operating System: Define the operating system of Digital & IT sub-teams and support governance
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously audit and assess of current processes, approaches, and methodologies deployed
  • Transformation Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership across the Digital & IT team and our functional partners, guiding the organization through change and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
  • Organizational Capability Building: Identify capability needs and determine potential paths to build and establish capabilities within Digital & IT
  • One Daikin: Identify ways to enhance our One Daikin collaboration across sister companies, identifying synergies, strategic partnerships, and identify opportunities to support our overall parent company objectives
  • Team Building: Recruit, onboard, and mentor top digital strategy talent, building a high-performing team capable of delivering world-class digital transformation and solutions
  • Team Management: Manage, mentor, and develop the Digital & IT team, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their objectives
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including corporate development & corporate strategy, HR, marketing & communications, and control solutions to ensure alignment on platform priorities and delivery schedules
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, managed services to ensure the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective digital strategy and transformation solutions
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable transformation solutions, with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction and business impact
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation in our approach, methodologies, and tools

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or closely related field
  • 5+ years of strategy or transformation; 3+ years in a dynamic leadership role; 1+ year in digital or IT, preferably prior experience in strategy consulting
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams
  • Exceptionally strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Expertise in executive communication, technical expertise in program and project management, and ability to flex to different styles and cultures
  • Strong customer and employee centric mindset and ability to empathize with the stakeholder experience
  • Strong technical and strategic appetite to drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, foster a culture of collaboration, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to take charge and orchestrate work, facilitate decisions, and collaborate with broader leadership to drive the actions necessary to achieve desired results
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, influence, and coordinate activities in a cross functional, team-oriented environment to deliver technology applications or technical products

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Information Technology or closely related field
  • Large-scale transformation and change leadership experience
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Experience in budget management and financial planning


Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,000 - $179,000 + bonus in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
