What to Expect:
As a Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Operations, you will play a key role in achieving the Digital Shelf team's mission to become Nestl Canada Inc.'s sought-after Digital Shelf powerhouse, providing expertise and partnership to our marketing organization that drives business results. You will lead all aspects of the planning, implementation, and improvement of enterprise data management, Product Information Management (PIM) systems, eContent syndication, GS1 product standards governance, and Digital Asset Management (DAM) via the Content Hub.

A day in the life:

Strategic Leadership in Digital Marketing Operations and Asset Management:
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive digital marketing operations strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, retailer requirements to improve consumer experience.
  • Discover opportunities for process improvements, technology upgrades, and operational innovations across data management, Product Information Management (PIM), Product Content Enrichment, GS1 governance, and Digital Asset Management (DAM).
  • Serve as a key strategic partner for Marketing, Sales, eCommerce, Information and Technology teams, providing thought leadership and driving Digital Shelf initiatives to improve operational efficiency.


Product Information Management (PIM) and eContent Strategy and Execution:
  • Define and implement the organization's Product Information Management (PIM) strategy, ensuring the seamless integration of
  • product data across channels and systems (e.g., ERP, Digital Asset Management (DAM), eCommerce).
  • Own the optimization of the Product Information Management (PIM) system, focusing on scalability, automation, and data enrichment to improve product content quality and relevance.
  • Develop and optimize eContent creation and syndication process. Establish governance frameworks for developing and maintaining accurate, consistent, and enriched product information and eContent, including taxonomy, data standards, and validation rules.
  • Supervise and analyse product data performance metrics, bringing insights to continuously improve Product Information Management (PIM) processes and eContent.


Enterprise Data Governance and GS1 Product Standards:
  • Be responsible for enterprise-wide data governance initiatives to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all marketing systems.
  • Lead GS1 product governance efforts, ensuring adherence to global standards for product identification (e.g., GTINs, barcode) and data synchronization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective application of GS1 standards and resolve product data compliance issues.


Cross-Functional Collaboration and Team Leadership:
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (marketing, ecommerce, IT, sales and creative teams) to align operational initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and drive consensus among diverse teams to execute large-scale digital transformation initiatives in the marketing operations space.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.


Role Requirements
  • Degree in Bachelors of Arts or Masters in Business Administration or relevant experience in business
  • 5+ years in eCommerce, Marketing, Sales and Project Management
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise on Product Information Management/Asset Management/Digital Asset Management Platforms
  • Experience at a "teach others" level with Salsify required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Amazon and other eRetailers


Preferred Skills
  • IT Experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate complex, technical ideas simply through storytelling.
  • Proven leadership capability, ability to influence the organization and inspire the team.
  • Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate across sales, marketing, IT and Center for Marketing Excellence teams.
