JOB SUMMARY

The Off-Premise Sr. Manager is responsible for leading the growth of our first-party pickup and third-party delivery businesses, both for the Denny's brand and virtual restaurant brands launched in our restaurants. This role leads cross-functional work & teams to optimize revenue, ensuring that our Off-Premise channels are functioning at peak capacity, and channels are continually optimized to maximize revenue. Given the emphasis on Franchise relationships, this role also serves as a partner to our Franchisees & Business Directors, and acts as a self-starter to support partner needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Key Responsibilities)
  • Lead the strategy and execution for off-premise growth initiatives for Denny's and its Virtual Brands.
  • Lead & manage relationship with off-premise partners (DoorDash, UberEats, Grubhub, Otter, ezCater, OLO & Franklin Junction), elevating opportunities for growth or optimization
  • Analyze YoY comp sales performance to identify trends, opportunities, and build promotional plans against our Marketing budget to ensure ROI-positive laps.
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day execution of off-premise channels, including third-party delivery, Dennys.com & catering, ensuring that uptime and functionality is maximized across all channels.
  • Partner with Business Insights & Finance to develop KPI dashboards to inform promotional strategy, analyzing results with the specific objectives of increasing off-premise sales, average check growth and overall profitability. Maintain deep understanding of promotional levers available and their effectiveness to generate demand across 3PD and owned channels.
  • Track & manage 3PD marketing spend, in partnership with third-party delivery partners & Marketing team (Brand-Building Fund).
  • Manage the Call Center partnership and assist in identifying new vendor before July 2025.
  • Serve as a strong partner to Franchisees, providing solutions for issues in Off-Premise, and bring/represent ongoing issues to the Digital & IT teams to identify potential solves.
  • Champion off-premise insights from both owned metrics & guest data to the broader org, and help the organization ground itself in data decisions, by regularly distributing reports & insights to our Operations teams
  • Pursue opportunities to simplify & optimize off-premise menus based on sales and guest insights to ensure best-in-class experience, easy operations and maximum profitability.
  • Work with internal & external Off-Premise partners to optimize uptime & revenue recapture for Delivery orders.
  • Partner with Marketing & Digital teams to implement menus & images for every menu module to ensure seamless ordering on Dennys.com; also ensure Off-Premise channels are incorporated in external media & inside the restaurant, with the explicit goal of growing Dennys.com sales. Understands top and bottom of funnel tactics to maximize conversion.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, IT, Recruiting, Development & Construction as well as any other necessary departments in the company to help support related off-premise needs & initiatives, like the expansion of virtual brands or new unit openings.

Education/Training/Work Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in restaurants, hospitality or related field.
  • Experience working with franchise restaurants preferred.
  • Catering and/or off-premise marketing experience preferred.
  • Ability to critically analyze sales and customer data to drive decisions.
  • Passionate about off-premise and delivering a superior guest experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working closely with a diverse set of stakeholders in a high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong Excel proficiency and financial acumen, experience with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Teams, Share Point and Smart Sheet preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to comprehend the bigger company picture while executing against off-premise initiatives.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a proven ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment with multiple brands, projects, and tight deadlines with a sense of urgency to deliver projects on time.
