Responsibilities:

• Mentor team members and direct reports for career development
• Provide technical and strategic leadership to DevOps Engineers.
• Takes ownership of infrastructure management, and monitoring. Provides direction to identify and eliminate critical infrastructure problems and single points of failures.
• Knowledgeable of complex CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Enterprise through the automated building of code, deploying to multiple environments.
• Assist where needed to debug high level failures that an end user might see like service not starting down through the various layers of automation to find root cause in a complex lab environment.
• Work and collaborate with a range of technology stakeholders to promote ideas and implements new processes, tools or technologies
• Will drive constructive discussions, dive deeply into technical details (e.g., dependencies, design choices, operability), and ensure there is a clear direction.
• Build and execute on a roadmap of initiatives to optimize cloud spend
• Build and execute on a roadmap to build a highly scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure
• Build and execute roadmap of features to support the engineering organization for upcoming feature launches

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with 2+ years in a managerial or leadership position
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Typescript
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker
• Familiar with system and network configurations, logging, and monitoring tools
• In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards
• Demonstrated experience in cloud cost management and optimization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $170,000-$230,000+ (Depending on experience and level assessed post interviews)
