The Sr Manager, Project Management will oversee all aspects of project management and program coordination. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience and involves managing strategic projects in support of the execution of product roadmaps, product development, launches, and marketing, to ensure alignment with market demands, technology trends, and competitive landscapes.

This role is responsible for developing and directing the strategic planning of the Water Heating Division Project Management Office (PMO). Oversees the management of portfolios, programs and the coordination of resources required to successfully complete projects. Translates business strategy into actionable requirements and provides guidance to management as needed.

This position supports our Water Heater Division, located in Roswell, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic vision and leadership to the PMO teams.
  • Support the execution of strategic product roadmaps, development, launches, and commercialization to maximize product benefits.
  • Communicate a clear vision of organizational goals and objectives and facilitate team cohesion to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Develop and implement data-driven methods for reporting to support and maximize the organization's value.
  • Manage and mitigate risks across multiple portfolios and programs by analyzing and identifying trigger events.
  • Establish contingency plans, anticipate and manage dependencies. Recommend and/or implement ways to mitigate future risks.
  • Ensure adherence of programs and project management practices through accountability and training.
  • Communicate best practices and feedback to teams, senior leadership, and the larger project management community.
  • Oversee the portfolio of projects and schedules across functional teams from concept to deployment to include communications and change management.
  • Provide guidance to determine corporate budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Review and sign off on project proposals and RFP responses.
  • Advise on cross-functional project related resource requirements.
  • Drive the adoption and utilization of transformational tools and productivity enhancement solutions.
  • Serve as a technical advisor in the requirements and solution design phases, creating business blueprints, identifying gaps and solutioning as needed to manage business impact.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with functional owners and stakeholders including gaining sponsorship and support of assigned programs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, product development, and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of product development processes, including design, costing, manufacturing, sourcing, and commercialization.
  • Experience leading product management or project management teams and managing multiple timelines and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Product Data Management systems and relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with department leaders to develop and refine shared business processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a matrix team environment.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years of experience managing programs, preferably related to product marketing and engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with Clarity PPM or other project management tools.

HOW TO STAND OUT
  • MBA or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with business planning, data analysis, process analysis and design, and use case analysis.
  • Proven track record of successful business/functional analysis and project management on dynamic cross-competency teams.
