As a Release Engineering/DevOps Manager, you will:
- Own the Build and Release Process: Lead end-to-end software build and release management to deliver high-quality products on time. Quickly address production incidents to maintain uptime and reliability.
- Champion Automation: Develop tools to automate continuous integration (CI), testing, and deployment processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.
- Optimize Tools and Technologies: Manage third-party R&D tools like Bitbucket, Nexus, Jenkins, LaunchDarkly, Kubernetes (K8s), and Helm to support scalable deployments.
- Drive Deployment Excellence: Design and maintain a world-class deployment orchestration framework for seamless and reliable software rollouts.
- Focus on Cloud Cost Efficiency: Optimize cloud resource usage across R&D to minimize costs while maintaining performance.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Act as the bridge between R&D and Shared Operations teams, ensuring smooth transitions and fostering collaboration on innovative solutions.
- Lead by Example: Manage a global team of engineers and a manager, providing mentorship, feedback, and fostering a high-performance culture.
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of SDLC and release management processes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, Groovy).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, and cloud platforms like AWS.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams globally while promoting collaboration and innovation.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Analytical skills to troubleshoot issues proactively and implement effective solutions.
- Communication Strengths: Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly across diverse stakeholders.
