Basic Function and Overview:

The Senior Marketing/ Brand manager will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies and products for the organization and work collaboratively with the Director and other senior staff members.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains supervisory and management staff in the department.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Creates digital marketing for websites, emails, social media, and blogs.
  • Collaborates with marketing, sales, design, and content teams to optimize customer experience and build brand consistency.
  • Maintain Social Media presence.
  • Creates content strategies for digital media.
  • Responsible for Public Relations via various media such as radio, print, TV, etc.
  • Collects search engine and web traffic analytics; reviews data for patterns and makes recommendations for optimal site exposure based on this data.
  • Forecasts trends by reviewing search engine optimization (SEO), marketing, and sales performance metrics.
  • Maintains current knowledge of online marketing opportunities and trends, web analytics, and SEO techniques.
  • Implements and optimizes analytics tools to track behavior of website visitors.
  • Directs and implements the organization's advertising and promotional activities.
  • Analyzes target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches with Director's guidance.
  • Collaboratively identifies new market segments that will benefit from resort products with marketing team.
  • Manage department's operating budget.
  • Oversees the implementation of online marketing plans; compiles and analyzes data to measure the effectiveness of such plans.
  • Reports campaign results to management, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements and modifications to existing programs and additional or new marketing strategies and opportunities.
  • Assists with development of the organization's website to ensure its effectiveness - internal and external customers.
  • Gathers the materials necessary to SWOT - Strengths weaknesses opportunities and targets.
  • Represent resorts at community and industry events.
  • Adheres to all resort safety protocols
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Intermediate to advanced ski/ride skill preferred.
  • Majority of experience in hospitality or medium sized ski resort with the expectation of continued growth is preferred.


Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Senior level typically corresponds to seven to ten years experience; education and experience combined will be considered.


Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
