Who We're Looking For:

TSMC Washington is seeking an experienced Material Planner with a bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant field and 5 years or more of experience in a related position.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

As a Material Planner / Procurement Professional, you will be responsible for high-volume, time-sensitive purchasing for a semiconductor manufacturing facility. Duties include delivery scheduling and monitoring of orders, expediting and follow-up as required for smooth and on-time delivery. Negotiation requirements based on Engineering/Manufacturing input, commercial market rates, lead times, single and second source availability, and lifecycle of product/warranty. Responsibilities will also include materials requirements and resource planning.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:
  • BS degree in related field.
  • Proficiency in data compilation in Excel and PowerPoint skills for management presentation materials
  • Leverage fab loading plan and forecast systems for materials requirement planning to ensure material availability for operations.
  • Identify material risks and develop business continuity strategies.
  • Place orders via email and various other related buyer functions timely and accurately
  • 5 years' experience in a related field
  • Computer skills to use automated purchasing management operating systems and production related - MRP/ERP experience
  • Variety of purchase order resolutions and interaction with warehouse and accounting
  • New vendor evaluation and selection experience
  • Order tracking and expediting experience and vendor performance analysis
  • Must have business environment computer skills (Email, Internet, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Prefer SAP ERP Materials Management application knowledge
  • Have business sense and capability to perform analytical tasks and valuation.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the high-tech industry preferred.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
  • International logistics experience a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods, primarily while working at a desk, with occasional movement around the facilty.
  • Frequent use of a computer, which involves looking at screens for extended durations.
  • Occasionally required to carry items weighing up to 12 pounds.

Personal Attributes:

Successful candidates will need to be able to work and communicate amiably with engineering, warehouse, and suppliers in a hi-tech, fast-paced, quick-changing work environment and will be able to make procurement process flow improvements and enhancements. Must have excellent time management skills.

Work Location & Schedule:

This position operates on-site at our Camas, Washington location during core business hours, Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm: however, there may be occasions when additional hours are necessary to meet project demands.

Pay Transparency & Other Compensation:

At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $78,000 and $102,904 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $78,000 - $112,260 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC's total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.

* This position is also eligible for a Sign-On Bonus depending on various factors.

* This position is also eligible for a Relocation Bonus depending on various factors.
