GENERAL FUNCTION:

• Assist in providing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for overall weapons system.
• Assist in performing engineering activities to include defining system requirements, reviewing vendor designs and technical proposals, researching and developing technical solutions, performing systems functional analysis, conducting trade studies, conducting technical reviews, and performing test and evaluation activities.
• Aid in creating engineering documentation and mechanical engineering analyses.
• Coordinate with USG agencies, prototype facilities, commercial vendors, and engineering firms to conduct analyses.
• Assist in identifying, managing, mitigating, and addressing technical and program architecture risks, including interoperability analysis and risk assessments.
• Provide support for the integration of current and evolving systems into the weapons system platforms.
• Provide engineering support involving the application of mechanical engineering principles to determine the business and technical need of mission partners, sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, support systems, equipment items, or an equivalent product.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MA/MS Degree with 10 years of directly related experience or BA/BS with 12 years of directly related experience or 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline.
• Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications and other standard applications.
