COGS has partnered with a rapidly growing, boutique MEP Engineering consulting firm specialising in a rich variety of complex and brain stimulating projects across commercial and healthcare sectors.
Due to the rapid expansion of their organisation (they have hired 4 people since the beginning of 2024, despite being less than 50 people) they are looking for a Senior HVAC/Mechanical Engineer with a specialism in Commercial Projects to join their well cultured firm on their exciting journey.
Despite having a rich history of almost 100 years in business, the firm have only recently broken into the New York market, and hence this presents an interesting opportunity whereby a firm with rich history, strong client base and deep support systems are continuing the growth of their firm through the 'start up' feel of their NYC office.
This position has a very high level of autonomy, and due to the very high backlog of work they have, they are currently in a situation where they are having to turn down work without bringing qualified professionals into the business, hence business development requirements are optional.
Aside from this, they have begun to win projects within the datacentre space and are continuing the growth of their committed client base.

Summary of desired experience:
- 8+ years of experience
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
- Strong communication skills
- Detective skills - Identifying issues within across projects and providing advice
- Desire to Mentor & develop more junior engineers
- Infrastructure experience required
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Proficient in managing design and coordination from project initiation to completion.
