The ideal Sr.. mechanical engineer will be able to work in tandem with ourteam of engineers to assist with our current project load related to theindustrial market rollout of new hydrogen fuel cell products. This role isperfect for gaining hands-on experience in a start-up environment. The company'sfacility is located in Greenville, SC
Responsibilities / Duties:
This role atInfintium is expected to:
Design/Develop new mechanical and electromechanicalsystems for fuel cell units
o UseCAD (SolidWorks) to design component and system assemblies
o Workin PDM to manage files and revision levels
Creating and managing Bills of Materials in Excel
Build,test, and validate prototype units
Workwith Quality, Manufacturing, and Purchase to release the system design
Creating and updating documentation related to new products
Participatein DFMEA meetings
Participatein Prelim/Critical design reviews as necessary
Supportcustomer service/quality for field issues as necessary
Supportand drive yearly cost reduction projects
UpdateBill of Materials as necessary and support with Engineering change notices
Required Qualifications / Experience:
The applicant for this position must meet these requisites:
Bachelor'sdegree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
Strongcommunication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and flexibility
Abilityto lead and drive engineering systems projects with little oversight
Abilityto critically analyze data, new processes, and technical documents
Passionfor learning and growing one's engineering skillset and product knowledge
Working Experience with SolidWorks 2018 (CSWAa plus)
Desire to work in a hands-on environment
Desired Knowledge / Skills
In addition, the ideal applicant would also meet thefollowing:
Experiencein manufacturing environments, particularly assembly operations
Knowledgeof the following systems:
o Thermalsystems (coolant)
o Voltageelectrical systems
o Commonmanufacturing materials (plastics, metals, etc.)
o Designfor manufacturability at different volumes for the following processes:
SheetMetal
InjectionMolding
MetalCastings
BilletMachining
Rapidprototyping / 3D printing
Experienceusing FEA, CFD programs
Experiencewith PEM stack hydrogen fuel cells
