About the Role
The Sr Manufacturing Engineer - Turbine Assembly, provides technical expertise necessary to design all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing. Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates the manufacturing engineering tasks for a total product line program or system. Responsibilities include conducting detail part productibility reviews; first article proofing of tools, parts, plans or assemblies; shop or vendor liaison; preparation of A/R's for major facilities cost estimating of existing or similar products; development of tooling concepts of a conventional nature. Independently performs most of work assignment. Provide technical direction, training, and work assignments for lower level engineers.

Identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to complex manufacturing operations equipment and processes.
Monitoring sophisticated equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.
Providing supervision, coaching and development for operations staff and support areas.
Leading engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.
Trains others on most components of engineering as related to manufacturing.
Guides others on the application of manufacturing industry and organizational best engineering practices and explains their rationale.
Facilitates the integration of engineering systems and applications for a manufacturing organization.
Advises others on the key benefits, drawbacks and rationale for engineering standards, policies and practices.
Monitors the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and improves engineering operations performance.
Works with various complex engineering operations in a manufacturing environment.
What You Have
Educational Background: High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Bachelors is preferred.
Extensive experience in manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.
Production Training: Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for delivering formal and informal training on the safe and efficient operation of production machinery; ability to conduct effective formal and situation-specific training.
Effective Communication: Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
Managing Multiple Priorities: Willingness to multitask and handle complicated and challenging tasks efficiently
Extensive experience with the following software tools: Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams )
Experience with the following software tools is highly desirable:

Summary Pay Range:
$108,834.00 - $163,252.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
