Overview
Seeking an experienced Sr Mgr of Business Development with strong track record driving revenue growth, market share growth, and new product design wins in the memory interface chip product space. The Sr. Mgr. must have a market understanding of the needs for scaling memory bandwidth and capacity in compute systems and be able to synthesize information, formulate insights, and understand the customer needs to identify great product and business opportunities.
The candidate will be part of Rambus Memory Interface Chips BU's marketing and business development team responsible for informing product requirements, shaping product roadmaps, creating winning strategies and go-to-market plans and material, providing sales training, and generally ensuring the broad adoption of our leading-edge memory interface chip products, for DDR5, DDR6+, and adjacent areas.
Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

The US salary range for this full-time position is $163,900 to $304,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.

Responsibilities
- Develop holistic go-to-market strategy for memory interface chip components targeting the client market
- Develop approaches, strategies, and action plans to grow design-ins of new products and market share of existing product line with buy-in from sales team
- Work closely with product line managers to communicate customer requirements clearly on schedule and technical requirements
- Train sales team on products, opportunities, and key accounts
- Work hand-in-hand with sales to manage broad client customer base
- Visit direct and indirect customers and forge tight relationships, collaborations and partnerships
- Identify, understand, and communicate the key differentiating features and performance that make the Rambus products best-in-class
- Work with the corporate marketing team to ensure external facing collateral and social media are consistent and further our go-to-market messages
- Share responsibility and drive sales team to grow Tier-2 revenue in North America across entire product line.
- Explore new product opportunities with the customer base and define marketing requirements (in MRD) for promising, new opportunities identified
- Monitor industry dynamics, competition, and customer trends to provide insight into overall market/business health and potential new business strategies.
Qualifications
- You must possess a minimum of a Bachelor degree in a technical field and ten years of experience in the semiconductor industry with a focus on mixed-signal products for servers and/or memory. MBA is strongly desired.
- At least 6 years of that experience must be in product management or business development showing a track record of successfully bringing products into the marketplace and driving revenue growth.
- Must have a strong background in selling mixed-signal products, especially with respect to the memory and storage subsystems. Direct experience with the server memory DIMMs ecosystem is highly desired.
- Track record of growing product revenue and expanding market share of product lines through effective go-to-market plans and creative product marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with international customers and suppliers, especially ones in Korea and Southeast Asia. Must be able and willing to travel internationally.
- Hands-on experience in soliciting customer needs and synthesizing feedback, understanding market requirements and capturing in Marketing Requirements Documents.
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication/presentation skills with strong ability to influence people at all levels and in various functions.
