Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Microsoft Dynamics Specialist to design, implement, and manage Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions, including Dynamics 365 Project Operations. This role ensures system architecture aligns with business objectives, integrates MS Dynamics with enterprise applications, and oversees the administration, configuration, and optimization of the platform. Responsibilities include maintaining data integrity, managing system upgrades, overseeing permissions, and providing technical support to users across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems Architecture & Implementation:

  • Design and lead scalable MS Dynamics 365 Project Operations setup and optimization to meet organizational and operational needs, focusing on optimizing performance and flexibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, recommend best practices and translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Recommend and implement MS best practices in customization, workflows, and security configurations to meet current and future business needs.
  • Ensure functional integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., NetSuite as ERP).


Administration & Maintenance:

  • Perform system configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting for MS Dynamics 365 applications.
  • Monitor system performance, resolve technical issues, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Manage security roles, and permissions for the Dynamics platform.
  • Coordinate with Microsoft, external vendors or consultants on specific technical projects and system improvements.
  • Support legacy systems and facilitate the transition of data, users and setup to MS Dynamics. Support user on systems until transition has been completed.


Customization & Development:

  • Develop and maintain custom solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) to extend Dynamics 365 functionalities.
  • Create and maintain custom plugins, and integrations and customize forms, workflows, views, to enhance user experience and meet business reporting needs.
  • Document workflows and processes.


User Support & Training:

  • Provide end-user training and support for various departments, ensuring smooth system adoption and usage.
  • Create detailed user guides, documentation, and knowledge bases for system processes.
  • Manage and address technical support tickets, ensuring timely resolution of system-related issues.


Governance & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and company policies regarding system use.
  • Evaluate and approve organization's requests for new systems/renewals removing duplication in system functionality.
  • Ideate governance strategies to ensure data integrity, quality, and security across the platform including maintaining system audit logs and reporting to track system usage etc.
  • Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and integration compliance.


Skills, Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations in an architectural and administrative capacity.
  • Certifications in MS Project Operations are required; certification in Power Platform is an asset
  • Experience in consulting on best practices on system setup and optimization within Project Operations including quoting, project management, time tracking and resource management.
  • Hands on experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) including cloud based workflows and custom development.
  • Experience with data integration tools (e.g., KingswaySoft) and APIs for Dynamics 365. Ability to troubleshoot integrations as needed.


Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in a professional services organization or working with professional service organizations is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Ability to develop, document, and enforce policies and procedures for system usage.
