Sr. NEPA Project Manager

Description:
A client is looking for a Sr. NEPA Project Manager to help support various programs around their environmental impact efforts. S/he is expected to be the face of the program(s) they support; help manage communications with stakeholders, they will organize, manage personnel, and resource support allocation. This person will also be overseeing the project schedule, budget, environmental regulations and all compliance, project work scope, and ensuring all QA meets technical accuracy. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with a lean team and managing multiple programs at a time, this person should be mission oriented and comfortable taking initiative when gaps are identified. Our ideal candidate has strong technical writing experience, examples of technical writing include, writing sections as the primary author, being involved in the development of project specs, etc. These are large documents with a lot of analysis and data from various end points, and the PM is ultimately responsible for that document. Additionally, this person should also be willing to mentor junior staff, assist with workload management, cultivate strong team dynamics, while also staying up to date on all government regulations and statutes.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years' experience in NEPA Environmental Project Management (i.e. Endangered Species Act (ESA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Clean Water Act (CWA))
Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, urban planning, environmental science, natural resources, other related area OR PMP certification
Strong experience setting up a project schedule, managing project schedules from beginning to end
Excellent technical writing experience
Specifically, as a primary author in appropriate sections
Experience working with a fixed fee pricing model
Experience working with the RFP process
US Citizen
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Strong ability to self-manage and problem solve
Experience working with stakeholders with excellent customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Familiarity with ArcGIS, Google Earth, and other mapping platforms
