Summary
We are searching for the next member of our innovative IT team, who will be responsible for ensuring the security, performance, and integrity of our organization's network infrastructure. You will play a critical role in monitoring, analyzing, and defending against cybersecurity threats while working closely with other teams to implement network solutions that are secure, efficient, and resilient. This position installs, configures, administers, and maintains networks and computer operating systems. In this role, you will administer the City's cybersecurity program and lead security-related projects throughout the agency. This position also designs, develops, tests, and installs operating systems and hardware, modifies and reconfigures operating software, provides technical guidance to users, and troubleshoots and resolves network-related problems. Positions in this classification install and maintain servers, configure and support the firewall and other connections, develop and manage user policies and standards, maintain system logs and monitoring tools, document system changes, respond to assigned helpdesk tickets, make minor repairs to equipment, and manage servicing needs.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
A qualified Cybersecurity and Network Systems Analyst configures and supports the City of Issaquah Servers, Firewall, Network, WAN, LAN, Office365, and other complex systems. These positions are distinguished from Application Analyst by the responsibility of the latter classification for the reconfiguration of software, project planning, and business analysis. There are two levels in this series, Network Systems Analyst and Senior Network Systems Analyst.
Senior Network Systems Analyst
This is the advanced, fully experienced level of the series. Incumbents may guide and coordinate the work of professional and technical staff and function as technical experts when defining problems, proposing solutions and making recommendations. Incumbents perform assigned tasks and respond and make decisions independently, and function as a cybersecurity expert. Incumbents work independently with minimal supervision. The work assigned to incumbents is complex and sophisticated.

TELEWORK CONSIDERATIONS

- Implements and supports network infrastructure.
- Administers cybersecurity program and associated policies.
- Monitors and maintains cybersecurity tools.
- Installs and supports servers; manages all restoration protocols.
- Installs and configures new network hardware, systems, and software.
- Assists with project planning and implementation.
- Configures and maintains network services, equipment and devices.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance and upgrades.
- Monitors network/server logs and system performance.
- Administers user accounts, security permissions, anti-virus, and email.
- Monitors and responds to help desk tickets.
- Provides training and technical support for users.
- Provides and maintains current documentation for server, printer, and scanner resources and schematics for planning structural changes.
- Maintains licensing and warranty information.
- Monitors and maintains automated backup systems.
- Creates, tests, and maintains the continuity of operations plan.
- Maintains shared printers and other equipment.
- Maintain mobile device management system.
- Implements and supports other IP based systems such as cameras, door security, etc.

Qualifications
Education & Training
- A bachelor's degree with a major in information systems, business information systems, business administration, or a closely related field, or professional certification including CISSP, CISM
- Three years of experience managing network systems, servers and security; or any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
