About the Job:

As a Senior OMS Developer, this is a crucial role in designing and developing technical solutions on the Manhattan Active Omni platform. The role requires expertise in system integration, AI-driven solutions, and JavaScript development to deliver scalable and efficient order management capabilities. Collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and management is key to driving innovation and ensuring seamless integration of systems. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, change driven environment while maintaining professionalism and clarity in communication.

A day in the life, what you'll be doing:

Advanced Technical Proficiency:

  • Develop and implement technical solutions on the Manhattan Active Omni platform.
  • Mastery of programming languages such as JavaScript and Java.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software architecture principles.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies to ensure the use of best practices.
    AI Integration and Development:
  • Leverage AI technologies to enhance the OMS platform, driving predictive analytics and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with AI development teams to design and integrate machine learning models within the OMS ecosystem.
  • Implement AI-driven solutions to improve system efficiency and user experience.
    Problem Solving and Critical Thinking:
  • Analyze complex problems and break them down into manageable components.
  • Identify efficient strategies for resolution and foresee potential challenges
  • Evaluate various options and make informed decisions to ensure optimal outcomes.
    Project Management and Time Management:
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate tasks effectively across multiple projects.
  • Estimate project timelines and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Adapt to changing requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
    Collaboration and Communication:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, project managers, and
    other developers.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Facilitate productive discussions and resolve conflicts within the team.
    System Optimization and Support:
  • Optimize order management workflows, including distributed order management, ship-fromstore, and BOPIS (Buy Online, Pick-up In-Store).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues, providing day-to-day support and
    improvements.
  • Respond to trouble tickets and drive improved user productivity through new business processes and system solutions.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to bring innovative solutions to projects.

    What it takes to Join:
  • BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, Retail Merchandising, or related technical field
  • 5+ years' experience in a Technical, Business or Systems Analyst role
  • 5+ years of experience with Manhattan Associates Order Management System (OMS) - strong understanding of distributed order management, ship from store, BOPIS and payment processing
  • 3+ years of experience using SOAP UI and Postman as well as first hand knowledge on XML/XSLT, JSON and HTTP concepts
  • Perform change management functions associated with larger scale/impact configuration for order management application
  • Responsible for pro-actively supporting other teams (analysis, gather metrics, review complaince, etc.) to drive business SLAs
  • Working in information technology doing application analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation
  • Experience in retail and an in-depth knowledge of retail business processes
  • Ability to create clear, structured and effective documentation
  • Ability to create, manage and enforce application configuration and SDLC standards.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate others in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct meetings with business executives, partners and peers.
  • Ability to provide clear written and verbal communication with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and working knowledege of SQL
  • Demonstrate ability to work as a team member as well as a team leader
  • Ability to be flexible to the rapidly changing needs of the department and company.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office products, including Visio and MS project

Salary Range: $116,000 - $132,000

  • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
  • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
