Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Privacy Manager, the Privacy Analyst - Operations will play a key role in supporting WELL Health's privacy operations by ensuring compliance with privacy laws, policies, and procedures across the organization. This role requires navigating and delivering results within a dynamic, matrixed environment. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to advancing the maturity of privacy management capabilities and operationalizing value-driven privacy capabilities across the enterprise.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Privacy Manager, the Privacy Analyst - Operations will play a key role in supporting WELL Health's privacy operations by ensuring compliance with privacy laws, policies, and procedures across the organization. This role requires navigating and delivering results within a dynamic, matrixed environment. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to advancing the maturity of privacy management capabilities and operationalizing value-driven privacy capabilities across the enterprise.
What you will be doing:
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining privacy policies and operational processes aligned with regulatory requirements (e.g. PIPEDA, PHIPA, Law 25, GDPR).
- Conduct privacy impact assessments, third-party risk assessments, M&A due diligence, and support the business with risk mitigation.
- Utilize privacy automation tools to assess privacy program operations, identify areas for improvement, and enable privacy leads across the business through tailored training on the tool's usage.
- Maintain and update data processing activities across WELL Health's service lines.
- Support employee training and awareness programs to promote a culture of privacy and compliances across the organization.
- Monitor compliance with privacy regulations and internal policies, ensuring ongoing adherence and documenting compliance activities.
- Collaborate with the InfoSec team to assess and mitigate privacy and security risks.
- Support with key privacy metrics and insights, integrating them into the privacy program dashboard to track ongoing performance and inform leadership decision-making.
- Stay informed about evolving privacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Support processing of data subject requests.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, or 3+ years of privacy experience, in a healthcare or technology setting.
- Familiarity with Canadian privacy regulations, including PIPEDA, PHIPA, Law 25.
- Excellent analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to think innovatively and apply creative solutions while maintaining privacy compliance.
- Experience conducting privacy impact assessments and risk assessments.
- Proficiency in using privacy automation tools to streamline operations.
- Familiar with processing of data subject requests.
- Experience with incident reporting and management.
- Professional certifications such as CIPP/C, CIMP, or similar are an asset.
