Position Purpose:
Provide Engineering support for the re-engineering of Common Rail Fuel Injectors and Pumps for Diesel Engines
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct reengineering to produce models and drawings for existing products
- Develop and coordinate the validation testing for new product launches
- Inspect sample of core for new products being evaluated to determine reusability and rework options for business case
- Provide engineering support and drive cost reduction of existing products
- Investigate the scope and risks associated with potential new product to assist in development of a business case
- Evaluate core and develop inspection documents for sorting out core for use in the remanufacturing of High-Pressure Fuel Pumps and/or Diesel Fuel Injectors
- Develop specifications where needed for the assembly and test of product
- Develop and track the DVP&R as part of the validation of remanufactured product
- Work with manufacturing engineering to develop rework methods and processes to maximize reuse of core components.
- Cost reduction initiatives on current products
- New business initiatives investigations
Minimum Requirements:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in the remanufacturing of a product (or) product development
- 1 year of experience CREO 3.0 CAD Software
- Expert in DVP&R, DFMEA, and PFMEA processes
- Knowledge of APQP/Launch processes
- Capable of doing tolerance analysis
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Excellent Communication Skills
