Job Description:
As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will lead the development of new products from concept to market launch. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing, to create high-performance products that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, prototyping, and development of new products from initial concept through commercialization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define product specifications, timelines, and development priorities.
  • Create and validate product designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct detailed technical analysis, including simulations, testing, and failure analysis.
  • Drive product improvements, cost reductions, and design optimizations while maintaining product quality and performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed product documentation, including technical specifications, test plans, and design files.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to source materials, components, and subassemblies for new products.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional team members.
  • Manage multiple product development projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Participate in design reviews, project status meetings, and risk management activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product development or a similar engineering role, with a focus on [specific product/technology type, e.g., hardware, software, embedded systems].
  • Proven experience with the full product development lifecycle, from ideation to product launch.
  • Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering design tools.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Experience with testing methodologies, failure analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, UL, CE) is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
