The Transact team, part of Amazon's eCommerce Foundational Technologies, is responsible for developing technologies that enable Amazon software application teams to
\tLive Migrate their OLTP Data to new region;
\tReplicate their OLTP date to new regions;
\tProviding federated access to data providers ;
\tSimplifying globalization of e-commerce data.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sr. Product Manager - Technical (PM-T) who will be working with Transact engineering teams to focus on new product and technology development. The PM-T is responsible for defining product strategy and assisting the team through the product lifecycle for our offerings. This position will be responsible for feature definition, prioritization, and communication with our thousands of internal users. This role will build and maintain relationships with technical and business leaders across Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
\tServe as the 'Voice of the Customer' for several products throughout its life cycle, from initial concept creation to launch and subsequent support.
\tDrive product development efforts, including research, requirements definition, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, and launch efforts.
\tAssist in developing new products by evaluating the business and competitive landscape, understanding customer needs and value drivers
\tWrite business and product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams.
\tWork cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
\tMeasure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to customers
\tResearch and identify new opportunities
\tPresent confidently to Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
