POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for driving the strategy, managing enhancements, and participating in the implementation of state-of-the-art POS, KDS, and Payment systems across our portfolio of restaurant brands. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, technology partners, and key stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of this critical initiative.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with Technology, Operations, and POS Vendor leadership to develop and communicate a clear vision and roadmap for POS at Out of the Box Brands, aligned with the company's overall strategy.

Lead the end-to-end product management of the POS, KDS, and Payment systems. This includes planning, execution, and monitoring of timelines, estimates, budgets, and milestones.

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the new POS system.

Serve as the primary point of contact with POS vendor account and produt management teams.

Work closely with IT, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and other relevant departments to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

Foster a collaborative environment, promoting effective communication and coordination among various internal and external teams involved in the project.

Work across all stakeholders including the POS vendor, Menu operations, and menu technology teams to develop menu structures and data management processes that meet all party's needs. Facilitating compromise where necessary.

Manage feature definition and produce user stories. Collaborate with internal and/or POS vendor tech leads to refine stories to developer ready status.

Collaborate with POS vendor product leadership on backlogs and prioritization. Coordinate with internal teams on backlogs and prioritization for integration points

Drive the development of comprehensive POS roadmaps for OOTB and in collaboration with our POS Vendor. Ensure Roadmaps meet the current and future needs of the business.

Manage vendor relationships, manage contractual timelines, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

Collaborate with vendor management to implement ways of working, definition of squads, and allocation of resources.

Manage the technical integration definition to allow efficient access of data, stored and managed in the POS by external systems. Integration for external system access to include order management, menu, and store information. Coordination across these workstreams to ensure a holistic business approach.

Establish SLAs/SLOs, and observability requirements for these integrations.

Champion exceptional user experience for both employees and customers interacting with the POS system.

Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned and directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science, Marketing, Business or related field.

Experience - 10 years in Product Management and 5+ years direct management of large-scale POS systems including leading the replacement or implementation of POS systems within the QSR industry.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Proven experience in product management, specifically in POS technology within the quick-service restaurant industry.

Experience with Cloud based POS systems and other SAAS products/apps/solutions.

Understanding of POS integration patterns with Back of House and reporting systems.

Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex technology initiatives on time and within budget.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

Strong background in authoring user stories, creating roadmaps, and collaborating with operations.

Demonstrated success in utilizing data to inform product enhancements and prioritization.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and a track record of successful product delivery.

Knowledge of QSR-specific technologies and strategic industry roadmaps.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior.

Physical Requirements: Ability to hear/speak clearly in person and on the telephone. Ability to operate a computer keyboard.

The range for this position is $141,900 - $198,700 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
