Position Summary:

Sr. Program Manager - Commercial Projects is responsible for the monthly Financial Reporting for the Government and other mobile application projects, provides information to Sales and helps with their budgeting and planning. Setting up and monthly reporting of Internal orders for the Project group. During Month End, completes the COPA Reconciliation and Revenue/Margin reporting by customer out of SAP.

Key Accountabilities:
  • End-to-end commercial responsibility in projects from the bidding phase to project execution (order-to-cash management) as well as related service set up; including active opportunity and risk management
  • Commercial support in the bid/contract initiation phase with special attention to the commercial risk profile of the project proposals, including commercial contract review and processing of inquiries.
  • Support Project Management in the commercial execution of all phases of Direct Costumer projects in the US with the aim of finishing the projects in the given time, budget and quality framework with the greatest possible positive profit and to the customer's satisfaction from sales to customer hand over. Support in reaching targets for the project through efficient commercial operation in the project.
  • Financial/commercial management of projects and portfolios including rebate programs.
  • Cost controlling and monthly project status reports with regards to cash flow, profitability, and overall financial health.
  • Analyze and track any changes in production requirements, scope of supply or in specification and the financial impact this will have over the project.
  • Evaluate any project delay and assess the impact this would have on all areas of the business. (Legal, Compliance Finance)
  • Track and update management on all production facilities capacity requirements, Capex and requirements that need to be updated to support Government Programs for the localization of production.
  • Support month end closing process and year-end actualization of costs
  • Prepare financial analysis calculation for strategic projects as required,
  • Keep management abreast of workload, project status and pending problems
  • Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
  • Perform special projects as required


Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Controlling or Business Administration and 7 years of experience in controlling in a manufacturing environment or 11 years' experience in controlling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours.
  • Travel - domestic and international (if required).


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability when issues are complex
  • Excellent knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer applications and controlled systems.
  • Excellent organization, planning and follow up skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong team player with strong ability to work independently and with little direction
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • SAP experience highly desired
