Company: Amazon

Location: Bellevue, WA 98006

Description:

Amazon's supply chain is a critical piece in Amazon's retail business. Although every retailer has a supply chain, none can match the scale at which Amazon operates. At Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT), we work on optimizing end-to-end inbound supply chain processes to enable delivery of billions of products to our customers' doorsteps faster, saving hundreds of millions of dollars in the process. Our team, Inbound Visibility, Signals and Orchestration (VISION), owns tools and systems to orchestrate the worldwide (WW) flow of inbound movements through Amazon's supply chain, from purchase order (PO) creation until trailers are unloaded and received and units are stowed at the sites. A critical component for doing this is improving the quality and coverage of signals that our suppliers, carriers and Amazon systems generate. Doing this allows us to aggregate and synthesize data within these signals to create a visibility picture to support different business needs within the Inbound supply chain, thus supporting our mission to orchestrate the flow of inventory in the supply chain. VISION also owns internal and external facing tools and systems that suppliers and carriers use to view the status of the freight they ship to Amazon as well as to schedule and manage their deliveries to FCs.
