Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and the establishment of goals and performance objectives for assigned department.
Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
Manage budget and expenditures.
Responsible for all quality related processes at a facility or regional level.
Provide support to manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing.
Effectively utilize the authority to acquire corrective action through management.
Monitor, review and approve quality audits.
Assess training styles, methods and needs to identify tools to support employee training.
Responsible for maintaining training schedules.
Provide training reports as required.
Acquire working relationships with technical staffs of operators, contractors, agents and leasing personnel.
Attend industry seminars and trade shows, as available and as specified.
Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic direction and development, implement and monitor the goals, objectives, priorities and procedures relating to the organizational unit.
Oversee the management of personnel and activities for assigned departments.
Develop and administer the budget.
Serve as primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
Report to Management on quality issues, trends and losses.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Drive improvement initiatives with strong focus on improving Cost of Quality (COQ)
Maintain facility's compliance to ISO and API QMS requirements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience - advanced degree preferred.
8-10 years' experience in related field with a demonstrated record of successful management.
ASQ Certification preferred
Able to manage budget for assigned department.
Able to read and interpret production drawings.
Able to train and lead others.
Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
5 years of experience in API product certifications and monograms.
Able to train and lead others.
Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
