Position Summary
This position is responsible for purchasing raw materials and supply continuity for the catheter/pump product families for the Chelmsford facility.
Principal Responsibilities
Key objectives include achieving, improving, and exceeding targeted customer service levels, managing inventory levels and targets, and managing supply and demand within the Global Supply Chain
Plan and execute purchasing of raw materials from domestic and international suppliers
Download open requisition reports from SAP and place purchase orders accordingly
Review open PO and past due PO reports to ensure materials coverage required for production
Review MRP exception messages; ensuring alignment of supply to changing forecast demands
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers and external suppliers
Proactively report product and material availability issues at tier/standup meetings
Identify opportunities to drive value-add programs: Kanban, Quick Ship, large impact, and Lead-time reduction initiatives
Analyze and manage MRP, source list, material master/parameters
Revise master data in essential systems to ensure the MRP system is effectively planning future requirements
Inventory Management: Support reporting, inventory parameters, safety stock target, product life cycle management
Maintains purchase order status and shipment tracking information in SAP
Provide support to various internal customers, as required
Complete special projects and assignments as requested
Other duties as assigned
Education / Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree preferred
5-7 years' experience in a procurement role
SAP experience preferred
Strong communication and attention to detail
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
ERP System experience, preferably SAP
Excel Skills
Strong verbal/written communication skills
