Description:
Amazon Exports and Expansion (AEE) Tech provides capabilities for emerging market expansion and cross-border shopping worldwide. The Tech team within AEE is responsible for owning and managing systems for providing international customers broadest possible access to the domestic retail, FBA and MFN selection. We make this possible using systems that determine cross border eligibility of items in Amazon's catalog and syndicate these offers to various destination marketplaces. We leverage Machine Learning to solve selection challenges such as compliance false positive and false negative detection, catalog classification specific to XB business and selection prioritization.\r

In this role you will lead a critical and highly-visible system for the AEE business. You will be given the opportunity to autonomously deliver the technical direction of the system, and the feature roadmap. As a Senior Software Development Manager in AEE, you'll be empowered to take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities, such as:\r
Directly hiring, retaining, and growing top management and engineering talent within your group.\r
Being a clear technical voice, working in partnership with your teams to deliver an architecture which will scale with the needs of the AEE business.\r
Quickly and reliably delivering high quality technical solutions that will delight our customers.\r
Working with business on strategy to define a product roadmap that is compelling and focused on growth, while collaborating with Selection product management teams across Amazon's businesses.\r
Meeting with customers to learn and help them shape their own tooling story.\r
Clearly communicating at the executive level risks, successes, and missteps as you define and execute on a vision for the product.\r
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams
- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $198,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $342,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
