About Operations Production Support at UPS:
Our Operations Production Support Team members are 3rd level support engineers managing infrastructure and software across many platforms in the UPS environment to the highest standards. They are highly determined individuals who serve as a subject matter experts for Automation and Scanning applications. As a member of the UPS Operations Production Support team, your skills will be put to the test working between users in Hub and Package Operations and the various Application Development teams to deploy and support the high-tech operations technology in the field.
About this role:
The Sr. Software Distribution Technician will provide support for applications that are critical to UPS Operations. S/he will be responsible for the maintenance, life cycle and support of UPS and 3rd party software, configuration, and deployment of critical applications to new facilities, and monitoring supported applications through dashboards and email alerts. The selected candidate will have responsibility for daily collaboration with peers, communicating with help desk call center technicians and end users during application support, and Application Development and Product Owner teams for deployments and identification/categorizing defects.
Position may require occasional shift changes for coverage needs and weekend project support. Primary support shift runs from 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM Monday through Friday.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with Windows Operating System and Technical Knowledge of Hardware & Software
- Knowledge of LAN Technologies, SQL Language and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience.
