Role Summary
The Sr. Staff System Integration Engineer is responsible for spearheading and overseeing the integration of various automotive subsystems for CARIAD's Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) across the Infotainment, ADAS & Controls domains. This individual will need strong technical skills, be a versatile engineer with a systems-level approach to problem-solving and be able to deliver vehicles with reliable hardware and software systems in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, credentials or certifications, industry-based experience, qualification and training.
In the city of Redmond, Washington, the salary range for this position is $126,800 - $165,500.
In the city of Mountain View, California, the salary range for this position is $132,400 - $178,700.

Role Summary

Role Responsibilities
- Take charge of integrating various SDV subsystems, ensuring their seamless interoperability.
- Establish software integration process in collaboration with development teams.
- Design, build, and manage test assets such as HILs, lab cars, and prototype vehicles.
- Validate software builds and troubleshoot in vehicles.
- Ensure the stability of software stack, including embedded software, core services, and applications.
- Integrate and test software in the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Work closely with the embedded systems team and deliver reliable platforms.
- Implement and validate Over the Air (OTA) processes for all Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
- Develop automation infrastructure and test cases.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive software development solutions.
- Lead and develop integration team when needed.
Years of Experience
- 7+ years related experience
Required Education
- BS in computer science, robotics, physics, engineering, numerical modeling or a related subject with outstanding grades or equivalent work experience
Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency in designing and constructing Hardware-in-the-Loop systems (HILs) and prototypes.
- Proven track record of shepherding automotive systems from inception to production.
- Experience in embedded systems development.
- Proficient in agile software development environment.
- Leadership experience in integration teams is preferred.
