Responsibilities
Senior Analyst - State Income Tax role will work with State Senior Tax Manager and State Senior Tax Director in the PEI tax group and will assist in all aspects of state income taxes.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Timely and accurately prepare state income tax returns and workpapers
Prepare and file state income and franchise tax estimated and extensions payments
Prepare apportionment and other supporting state return workpapers
Assist with state quarterly and year-end tax provision
Prepare and reconcile state income and franchise tax accounts
Assist with tax research and planning throughout the year, including analysis of state tax law changes and their impact on PEI companies
Assist with gathering requested documentation for audits and draft responses to the information requests from the state tax authorities
Draft responses to various correspondence and notices from the states
Special projects as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,300 - $118,800 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or CPA preferred, not required
- 2 - 4 years of state or federal income tax experience
- Working knowledge of SAP and CorpTax preferred, not required
- Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to work in a dynamic and team oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Excellent organization skills and ability to meet deadlines is required
