Responsibilities
Summary
The Senior Strategic Business Development Analyst leads GEO Reentry's research and analysis of new and existing markets, trends, competition, product mix, and other areas with the goal of generating new business leads/contracts and helping ensure retention of existing contracts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- The Senior Strategic Business Development Analyst spearheads development of a plan for generating new business development prospects to include analyzing market and industry trends to identify and prioritize new business development opportunities and researching viable solutions to agency needs.
- Spearheads development and maintenance of a GEO Reentry Business Development strategic plan to include goals, value proposition (in general and by customer), market targets by service line and region, and how we differentiate ourselves from our competitors.
- The Senior Strategic Business Development Analyst researches, analyzes and reports relevant information about GEO's target markets, competitors, market share, existing and potential customers, state and county agency structure, industry products, services, pricing, and proposal evaluations.
- Presents recommendations to Business Development and/or the division on how to respond to the market conditions based on research and analysis conducted.
- The Senior Strategic Business Development Analyst provides business case analysis of potential growth opportunities.
- Reports industry trends and recommends how the company may want to respond.
- Provides strategic input on proposal responses, oral presentations, customer outcome reports, and other materials to ensure GEO is most effectively meeting customer needs and articulating our approach in a compelling and seamless manner.
- Provides writing and proofreading support for bid review, press release review, and case studies.
- Prepares regular reports on current trends in the corrections industry.
- Assists in the development of PowerPoint presentations, collateral and other materials that communicate the features and benefits of Company products and services or bid responses.
- Manages, tracks and reports on business development opportunities and conversions using Salesforce. Oversees and handles the administration of Salesforce and other software platforms.
- Completes statistical analysis and reporting on key metrics for senior management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Communications or related field.
- Three (3) years of experience with research and analysis, preferably within the corrections industry.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with internal and external executives and other high levels of the organization.
- Possess strong relationship management qualities and experience in team leadership, coordination and collaboration skills.
- Solid business acumen, management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop an appropriate business case.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong project management, business writing and reporting skills.
- Ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior level executives
- Proficient in MS Office Software, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to travel 25% or as required.
