Position Overview
We're looking for a culturally attuned, insights-driven Senior Strategist with a passion for storytelling and digital-first brand building. This person will partner closely with clients and creative teams to transform consumer and cultural insights into breakthrough strategies and award-worthy creative work. Ideal candidates will bring a blend of critical thinking, trend fluency, and creative empathy to help shape ideas, guide teams, and inspire clients.
This position reports to the Director of Strategy.
Salary
This is a full-time, exempt role with a salary range of $100,000-$125,000, depending on experience. There will be occasions when in-office presence, at either our Echo Park HQ or a client's office, is required based on the needs of specific accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy: Lead development of strategic frameworks and campaign platforms grounded in audience, cultural, and competitive insights. Craft compelling brand stories and creative briefs with clear objectives.
Research: Contribute to the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research projects. Including developing screeners, creating discussion guides, moderating sessions, capturing key insights, and producing reports.
Creative Refinement: Serve as a strategic partner in brainstorms and reviews, helping shape and challenge creative work to ensure it's strategically sound and culturally relevant.Collaboration: Collaborate across teams and mentor junior strategists, helping grow strategic thinking across the department.
Analysis & Reporting: Collaborate with Strategy leadership to establish and implement measurement plans to assess campaign effectiveness. Align objectives, KPIs, and metrics with clients and internal teams to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Trend-Spotting: Stay up-to-date with current trends and innovation in integrated communication strategies (e.g., media, digital, research, etc.)
Client Counsel: Provide senior-level strategic counsel to clients, helping translate their business challenges into culturally resonant creative strategies.

Qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in strategy, qualitative research, or a comparable field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with research and social listening tools (eg, Meltwater, Sprout, Brand Watch, GWI)
- A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for internet culture and social storytelling
- Demonstrated expertise in uncovering insights and knowledge of how to leverage them to achieve marketing objectives
- The ability to translate clients' goals and objectives into actionable and measurable marketing recommendations
- Proven ability to build and maintain senior client relationships.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
- Hospitality experience is a plus.
