What you will be working on:

As a Sr Systems Engineer, you will:

• Contribute to the completion of specific engineering programs and projects.
• Develop solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems.
• Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing technology.
• Coach, provide guidance, and unblock less-experienced professionals in their tasks.
• Determine the functionality of an application and perform upgrades over time.
• Work with the team to plan future sprints, define stories, and estimate efforts.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• May serve as a team or task lead.

What you will bring to us (Must):

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
• 5+ years of related software development experience.
• Expertise in Python language (or similar).
• Strong experience building and working with container images (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps and software/application development processes.
• Experience deploying to RedHat Openshift Container Platform.
• Experience writing infrastructure as code (Helm/Terraform).
• Experience with utilizing CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus.
• Experience with deploying to on-prem/data center infrastructure.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence on a daily basis.
• Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small team.

What you will bring to us (Highly Desired):

• Experience with ElasticSearch, GoLang.
• Experience with GraphDBs (Neo4j/RedisGraph).
• Experience with Messaging Systems (NATS Jetstream/Pulsar).
